With the cooler weather creeping in, it’s time to pull out the sweaters and the beanies (and the pumpkin spiced lattes, yum!). However, it can be easy to fall (heh heh) into a routine with clothes,–just throwing on a sweatshirt or a sweater and some boots and calling it a day.
But fall, for me at least, has the biggest potential for cute outfits. You can’t layer your clothes in the summer without getting overheated, and my winter outfits always get covered up by a huge coat.
So, here are five outfits that are easy and affordable, yet still very cozy and stylish!

1. I won’t lie–this is my favorite outfit of the bunch! I decided to wear this black and white sweater, tucked into a laced black skirt. I tossed in a yellow beanie for a pop of color, and threw on a pair of brown patterned booties from Target. For accessories, I chose a simple mid-length necklace with a small pendant.
This outfit is incredibly cozy, and surprisingly warm! If it does happen to be a chilly day, you could easily add some black leggings to cover your legs.
One of my favorite aspect about this outfit is that I bought most everything from consignment, minus the necklace and booties. Just goes to show the type of treasures you can find while shopping used items!

2. Talk about an easy but super cute outfit! I took a neutral sweater, paired it with some colorful jeggings, and added a matching scarf and brown boots. This is honestly one of my go-to outfits during this time of year. It’s incredibly simple, yet feels put together and fashionable.
You could also very easily add a beanie to this outfit, or layer over a heavy coat on colder days.

3. For my third outfit, I wanted to go with a bit of a more styled feel. Here, I am wearing a basic colorful top with a grey cardigan layered on top. I paired it with a cream scarf with a simple pattern, jeans, and some heeled black booties. This is an outfit for those chilly days when you need that extra bit of warmth! And I’m not much of a hat person, but I can imagine this outfit would look great with a black hat!
This outfit also gave me a major confidence boost. Seriously, I just felt so good while wearing this! Maybe it’s the heels…

4. This outfit is a bit different than the others. Sometimes there are those days in the fall (at least in the South) where, even though the leaves are falling and the days are getting shorter, it still feels warm outside. So this is an outfit for those days! I took a pair of black and white striped pants, paired them with a muted yellow top, and threw in some wedges for good measure. This is such a comfortable outfit, yet looks very put together.
I intentionally chose a yellow top for this outfit in order to keep it feeling like fall. You could easily wear this outfit in spring/summer as well!

5. For my last outfit, I wanted to put together a super simple and basic outfit, since sometimes you have those days wear you don’t really need to dress up. I’ve seen renditions of this outfit online, and wanted to recreate it. I took a black top and some black leggings, and tossed in some gray flannel and boots. SO easy!
I actually wore this outfit out while running errands, and to meet up with some friends. It was exactly what I needed!
I love each of these outfits so much, and I can’t wait to wear them this season! Let me know which is your favorite! Happy Fall everyone!
