4 of my favorite YouTubers

Hi everyone! Hope your week has been going well!

Before I jump into today’s post, I just want to say a huge thank you to all the love and support I received on my last blog post. I was absolutely not expecting that kind of response, and it meant so much to me. It wasn’t easy to share, and so seeing the all the love and support was incredibly overwhelming. Thank you!

These past couple weeks, I’ve really been trying to take time for myself and do more of what I enjoy doing. One of those things, as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, is watching YouTube. It’s so nice to wind down at the end of the day by snuggling up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and switching on a vlog or let’s-play.

In that post, I did mention a couple of my favorite creators, but I thought it’d be fun to go into a bit more detail about some of my favorites! I’m always looking for recommendations, so maybe this list will help you find some new favorites as well.

1. Irene Walton
Irene is one of my current favorite YouTubers at the moment! She mostly posts about food, as she’s a fantastic baker! She actually created her channel in honor of her dad, who passed away when she was a teenager. She does a lot of baking/cooking, sometimes with friends and sometimes on her own, but she also just posts fun and laid back videos, mostly about food.
She’s actually given me quite a few tips and tricks that I now use all the time in the kitchen, but she also just has a super fun and overwhelmingly positive personality that is hard not to love! I highly recommend checking out her content, especially if you love to be in the kitchen.

2. Jacksepticeye
I can honestly say that Sean is one of my all time favorite YouTubers. In fact, I’ve probably been a fan of his content the longest! I discovered his channel back in 2016, even before I discovered my love for the platform itself.
If you don’t know who Jacksepticeye is, he is a Let’s Player! In other words, he posts videos of himself playing and commentating video games. He’s the one who actually got me into the world of video games, and I have him to thank for introducing me to some of my all time favorites.
While I absolutely love his content that he posts, I’m an even bigger fan of his passion for making a difference in the world. He is well known for hosting large charity events, and has raised several millions of dollars doing so. He also sparked the Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) movement through his YouTube community, which I actually have a tattoo of as a reminder for myself.
Also, I’ve actually met him in person! I visited PAX East in Boston back in 2019, where I had the amazing opportunity to meet him. I also attended his live comedy show, both in Nashville and when I visited London. So yes, you can definitely say I’m a big fan!

3. Thomas Sanders
Most people who know Thomas actually know him from Vine, as that’s where he got his start. Nowadays, you can find him posting on his YouTube channel, or his short skits on TikTok/Instagram.
He posts a bunch of different content, both scripted and not, but one of my favorite series of his is definitely Sanders Sides. It’s essentially a series based around the different assets of his personality (very Inside Out like, which is perfect because he’s a HUGE disney fan!).
Thomas is one of the kindest and most wholesome people I have ever seen. His content is perfect for those days where you’re feeling a bit down and need a little bit of a laugh. As I mentioned before, he posts a large variety of content, so there’s definitely something for everyone!

4. Safiya Nygaard
Out of all of these creators, I’d definitely say that Safiya’s is the hardest to describe! She posts a lot of experimental clothing/makeup videos, such as her Ugly Clothing series, or, probably her most popular, Bad Makeup Science series. She also posts a few vlog type videos here and there, usually including her husband, Tyler.
Safiya is one of those YouTubers that I would describe as drama free. She does a great job of staying neutral when things get a bit crazy on YouTube. Usually, it’s just her, her husband, and occasionally their cat, Crusty.
While I never thought I’d be watching a video of someone mixing every beauty guru’s eyeshadow palette together, Safina very quickly became one of my favorite creators due to her fun and slightly nerdy personality.

So there you have it! If you’ve ever wondered what some of my favorite content creators are, now you know.

Like I mentioned before, I’m always looking for recommendations! So please feel free to share some of your favorite YouTubers as well!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and a great 4th of July!

  1. Hi Ash! What great taste you have! My favorite YouTuber is Malibu (a combo of her first and last name). She mainly posts honest reviews of hair and makeup products but also Vlogs about trips she takes with her hubby, Andre, and baby, Emmeret. They are both from Russia but currently live in Nashville and love it! I dislike reality TV but like you I enjoy relaxing and watching this little family.
