Motivational music: Songs that will inspire you

Music has a particular way of speaking to our souls that is unique to anything else in our lives. When we hear music, most of us will experience a change of mood or a change in our mentality. For example, slow music tends to evoke peace or sadness, while upbeat music will usually lead to an elated mood or determined mindset. I’ve created a list with a few upbeat songs that I have discovered to be greatly inspiring and motivational, and I’ve decided to share it with you today!

“Be the Change” by Britt Nicole: This happens to be one of my favorite songs at the moment. Britt Nicole does a fantastic job of encouraging us to go out into the world and, well, be the change! It is incredibly easy to sit back and let others go out and do the hard work, but that’s not what we’re called to do. We should be helping to make a difference in this world and to spread the word of God to all that are in need.

“Guilty” by the Newsboys: This is another amazing song that I have found to be very inspirational. This song is actually from the movie God’s Not Dead 2, which is a movie that I highly recommend to anyone. As I discussed in my last post, our society today tries to downsize religion, and it frowns upon those who try to speak up about their faith. This song talks about this issue. No matter who persecutes us for speaking out about our faith, we should not be afraid of them. We should stand up for God and continue to be open about Him, no matter what obstacles may come across our path.

“Do Something” by Matthew West: Matthew West’s song and Britt Nicole’s song have very similar messages. This song talks about how it is our job to make a difference in our world, and how we shouldn’t be waiting on someone else to do it for us. Everyone has the ability to make a difference somehow; you just have to find out what works best for you!

Let me know what songs motivate you, and what you think of these songs! I hope you all have a blessed day!

    1. These songs, as well as many other Christian songs, are always good for a pick-me-up or a stress-reliver. I definitely recommend that students listen to this music whenever they’re feeling down!

  1. I have not heard any of these songs either- excited to check them out. One of my fave pick me up songs is “Keep your head up” by Ben Howard. I also like “Brother” by Matt Corby and the Kygo remix has such good vibes!
