There can be times in our lives where it can be hard to believe that God is good. We see cancer affect many individuals, families torn apart by divorce, children starving across the world. There is so much pain in our world, and it can be hard sometimes to see that God is good.
Some people believe that in order to believe that we have a good God, we must first come to believe that pain is good. This is not true. It is okay to believe that this suffering we endure is bad, and is not from God.
However, it is true that God works through this pain and help us grow in Him and become stronger in our faith. Going through this pain helps us build a stronger foundation in our faith. God does not allow pain without reason.
And even so, this pain we endure should not let us doubt the goodness of our God. No matter how much we struggle in our lives, our God will always be a good God. The glory that waits for us in the future outweighs all the suffering we may go through in our lives.
Romans 8:18 says “ I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
One of my favorite quotes (as stated in the title of this post) is spoken in the movie God’s Not Dead, and it states, “God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.” If you haven’t seen the movie, it is one I definitely recommend. It is a perfect example of how God can work through even the worst situations to bring people closer to Him.
No matter what you may be going through in your life, remember that you have a good God, and your pain will not go to waste. The future God has planned for you is filled with glory, and everything you went through won’t even compare.

You have such an amazing heart for the Lord and you use your talent of writing very well! I have personally seen God work through pain in my life when my mom was battling cancer. I never got angry or mad at Him for some reason, and He really taught me a lot during that time. Great post!

Wonderfully written. God’s Not Dead is a really great movie to watch, I agree. I’ve come to realize in my life that through the downs, I’m able to draw nearer to God than ever before. It may not seem great at the beginning, but when you look back, you see how far God has taken you, and it’s a great thing to see. Great post!
