4 things you may or may not know about about me

Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well this week.

A quick update! I’ve decided to update my posting schedule slightly. From now until further notice, I will be posting every Friday instead of every Thursday. This works a little bit better with my schedule, and will hopefully allow me to produce the best content I can!

I wanted to do a fun post this week. I’ve been posting on this blog on and off for about 4-5 years now, but I only have a couple posts actually talking about myself. So I thought it’d be fun to do a little get-to-know me post, and share a few fun facts about me that you may or may not know!

1. I love video games!
This is something that surprisingly, a lot of people don’t know about me. But I am a HUGE fan of video games, especially those that are story driven. A few of my favorites include Undertale and Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I’m also a massive fan of Detroit: Become Human, but have never had the chance to play it myself (though I want to!)
In fact, I actually got to travel to PAX East in 2019! For those who are unfamiliar, PAX East is a huge gaming convention that’s held annually in Boston. I can genuinely say that was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken, and I really hope to go back someday!

2. I’d love to be an author someday
This is something that I’ve been dreaming about since I was a kid. I’d love the chance to have a story of mine published and be able to share it with the world.
I remember being young and coming up with my own stories and writing my own little books. I’d fold a few pieces of notebook paper together to make the pages, with a colorful piece of construction paper on the outside for the cover.
Even when I was a bit older, in middle school, we’d have one page story prompts in English at the beginning of each class. My little overachieving self one time wrote eight pages, front and back.
These little moments sparked something in me, and from then on it’s been a goal of mine to publish a book, or even make a career out of it.

3. I’ve visited a total of 10 countries
Most of these countries I visited while studying abroad in 2018, but I also had the chance to visit Canada and Costa Rica!
My grandparents actually used to live in Canada when I was little, so we got the chance to visit them, which was pretty cool. I don’t remember much about Canada since I was very young at the time, but it’s still pretty cool that we had the chance to visit.
Costa Rica was much more recent. I got to visit Costa Rica in 2016 on a mission trip with my home church. This was such a cool experience overall–not only getting to serve abroad, but also getting to experience such a different culture from ours. I’d love to go back and revisit sometime!

4. I prefer YouTube over TV
It’s true! I’d much prefer to watch a Let’s Play or a vlogger on YouTube than a series or TV show. Not to say I don’t watch some TV, because I do (I LOVE me some Criminal Minds, and A Series of Unfortunate Events is one of my favorite series ever), but the content on YouTube is a bit more my style!
Some of my favorite YouTubers are Jacksepticeye (who I’ve actually met before!), Irene Walton, Thomas Sanders, and Safiya Nygaard. I honestly highly recommend all of them!

And there you go! Hopefully this helps you get to know me a little bit better than before. This was a surprisingly challenging post to do, but it was a lot of fun!

I’d also love to hear some fun facts about you guys! Feel free to share some with me in the comments!

I hope you guys have a great weekend, and I’ll see y’all next Friday!
